The following is the first of two fatwas (islamic legal verdicts) given by Bin Baz the former Mufti of Saudi Arabia often listed by "experts on Islamic fundamentalism" as a major wahhaabi figurehead. It can be found as it was printed in the magazine of Islamic research papers printed by the Islamic University of Medina number 50 pg 7 - 17.
He states :
"My advice to Al-mis'aree and [Sa'd] Al-faqeeh and Bin-laden and all who follow there path is to leave of this severely misguided path, and to fear Allah and to be wary of his punishment and anger and to return to the straight path and that they repent for their previous deeds, no doubt God has promised those who repent that He will accept their repentance...
p.s. let it not pass the attention of the reader that Bin baz died in the year 1999 c.e.
