Principles to Remember During Times of Fitnah part 1

الحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله وعلى آله وصحبه ومن والاه ، أما بعد :

فلا شك أننا في زمن كثرت فيه الفتن وعظمت وتولدت وتفنن فيها من يوقظها ويروجها أيما تفنن ! فصارالمسلم يموج فيها موجا ويحار فيها دهرا [ حتى لا يأمن الرجل جليسه ] كما قال عليه الصلاة والسلام ، ومن كل هذا يكون المسلم في مخاض صعب وعسير لربما يؤدي به إلى الإرتكاس عن الجادة إن لم يتداركه الله العزيز الحكيم بمعرفة ضوابط وقواعد ينجو بها من هذه الاضطرابات والافتعالات ، وإني بحول الله مذكر ببعضها من شرح كتاب الفتن وأشراط الساعة من صحيح الإمام مسلم، الشريط الرابع والعشرون للشيخ الفاضل سليمان الرحيلي فيأتي حفظه الله بسبب الوقوع وسبيل النجاة منه :

[ أولا ]

لا تتبع العاطفة وقيدها بالشرع فالعواطف عواصف

1st Don't follow after emotions, rather restrict them with the shari'ah! Verily emotions are like storms.

[ ثانيا ]

إياك والعجلة والزم الأناة والتثبت في النقل

2nd Do not be hasty keep to being steady and sure as relates to conveying information

[ ثالثا ]

إياك والجهل واحرص على العلم الشرعي

3rd Beware of ignorance and be diligent to learn shar'ee knowledge!

[ رابعا ]

عند الاختلاف إياك والصغار والزم الكبار

At times of differing be wary of the youthfull and stick to the elders

[ خامسا ]

إياك والأمور الحادثة والزم السنة

Be wary of newly invented matters and stick to the sunnah

[ سادسا ]

إياك أن تقترب من الفتنة وابتعد عنها

Be carefull not to gain nearness to Fitnah and distance yourself from it

[ سابعا ]

منع الفتنة أسهل من رفعها

Preventing Fitnah is easier than removing it.

[ ثامنا ]

احذر الهوى حينما تأخذ بالفتوى وخذ بما أضاءه الدليل

Be wary of your desires when looking for a ruling and stick to that which is under the light of evidence

[ تاسعا ]

إن كنت عاميا لا تأخذ الفتوى بالتشهي وقلد الأعلم

If you are a layman do not follow your fancies but rather return your affairs to the learned

[ عاشرا ]

إيَّاك والتقلب واثبت على الدين بنور القرآن والسنة

Be wary of flipflopping and be steady in your religious affairs by following the light of the book and sunnah

[ الحادي عشر ]

لا تنازع النصوص بما تريد واجعل ما تريد على وفق النصوص

Do not oppose texts following after what you want but rather make your wants in accordance to the texts.

[ الثاني عشر ]

احذر الفرقة والزم الجماعة

Avoid differing and stick to the jamaa'ah

[ الثالث عشر ]

إياك والظلمة والشر والعذاب والزم العدل وأهله والخير وأهله

Be wary of oppression/oppressors evil and punishment and stick to justice and its people and good and its people

[ الرابع عشر ]

لا تتطلب الفتن واستعذ بالله من شرها

Do not search after fitnahs and seek refuge with Allaah from their evils

[ الخامس عشر ]

لا تغتر بزخرفة الفتن وانظر إلى حقيقتها ببصيرة المؤمن

Do not be decieved by the adornement of fitnahs and look to their realities with the insight of a believer

[ السادس عشر ]

احذر الغلو والزم الإعتدال

Be wary of extremes and stick to justice.

[ السابع عشر ]

احذر العقوق وأدي الحقوق

Be wary of falling short in your obligations to your seniors and give people their due rights

[ الثامن عشر ]

احذر قصر النظر واعرف الحق بأصله واثره . هـ
Do not be short sited and recognize the truth by its source and outcome.
