The importance of clarifying the reality of islam to the west

No doubt da'wah is an obligation upon every muslim to the best of his or her ability as long as they stay within their bounds. This in mind along with the lack of understanding of islam in the west it becomes clear how important it is for muslims from the west who understand the languages and cultures of western countries to serve as a voice box for the scholars of islam.
It is especialy important for us to highlight the most essential and pervasive aspect of islam which is Tawheed and to also clarify islam's stance on terrorism and extremism. All of this must also be done with the best presentation possible and to be presented with proof texts from the qur'an and authentic sunnah as to not be construed as apologetics or personal opinion.
